The Paradox of the Prankster

My Saturday Mantra -- Pole Position Edition
Back to Full Blog

Soon the ice
Will be all gone
That North Pole's
Sure gettin' mighty warm
I wonder what
Santa is gonna do
Will Rudolph's nose
Still shine so bright
Or will his
Sunburnt hide guide Santa's
Sleigh at night
I'm glad it's not
That Global Warming
Says whomever's in charge
Only suckers conserve
Fat dumb Al Gore
Is totally wrong
Do you believe me
Or your eyes
No need to worry
Burnin' fossil fuel
Who cares about some
Old Polar bears
If they're so smart
They'll figure out
Just like us and
If they don't
Then soon they'll be
Dead and gone
No cubbies left to
Sing bear songs
We made our choices
Eyes wide open
We can't really say
We didn't know

PRIMUS

Wynona's Big Brown Beaver

Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver
And she shows it off to all her friends
One day, you know, that beaver tried to leave her
So she caged him up with cyclone fence
Along came Lou with the old baboon
And said "Recognize that smell?"
"Smells like seven layers
That beaver eats Taco Bell"
Now Rex he was a Texan out of New Orleans
And he travelled with the carnival shows
He ran bumper cars, sucked cheap cigars
And he candied up his nose
He got wind of the big brown beaver
So he though he'd take himself a peek
But the beaver was quick
And grabbed him by the kiwis
Now he ain't pissed for a week
Now Wynona took her big brown beaver
And she stuck him up in the air
Said "I sure do love this big brown beaver
And I wish I did have a pair"
Now the beaver once slept for seven days
And it gave us all an awful fright
So I tickled his chin and I gave him a pinch
And the bastard tried to bite me
Wynona loved her big brown beaver
And she stroked him all the time
She pricked her finger one day and it
Occurred to her she might have a porcupine

Hey Prank

It is sad that so many animals suffer from Mankinds mistakes - Maybe someone with some "higher power" will stop us before we distroy this planet and ourselves - You think?

Have a great weekend and Blessings to you and yours

Well, Lookin', I hope we all can find a way to keep things in balance. There was warming and cooling periods before us humans ever came along and started driving cars and jets. But now it seems there's lots of evidence to suggest a warming is occurring. We may not cause the underlying warming trend, but I think we now can make it worse. And we are. Maybe we can take the lemons that is $4 gas and make lemonade out of it?

Thanks for stopping by!

Seems like the earth's a lot like the human body Prank. We abuse the dickens outa our bodies and we abuse the dickens outa the earth. Fortunately both are more durable than any of us probably realize. All that said, I am tryin' hard to abuse either as much as I used to.

I think you are right, Cap'n, Mama Earth has the ability to heal herself by attacking those who upset the balance. It's a fascinating thing to observe. I wish I could be there to see the conclusion but, I hope, that's a few million years down the highway.

As for self abuse? Well, a little can go a long way, right?

Prank we are a nation that is full of deception and greed. It is affecting our world whether we want to admit it or see it or not. I think of the commercial of the old Indian who had a tear running down his cheek when somebody chose to litter. Wonder what he would say now?

We are destroying our beautiful world one moment at a time by the choices we make. I wonder if it will ever stop or will all life just cease to exist?

I hope you are doing well my Prankster friend.

Bear Hugs,
PolarB ;)
