My Sunday Mantra -- Happy Seasonal Holiday Offering Best Wishes But Not Promoting A Specific Religous Or Cultural Preference To Avoid Offending Anyone's Sensibilities Edition

It's Christmas from China
And while it all sounds real good
We got new lead painted toys
And fresh e. coli and toxins in our food
Seems profits are more important
Than our health in the 'hood
And if you don't like it then
Keep your mouth shut or you'll be sued
For it's Christmas from China
Nothing's made here anymore, Dude
Our political leaders don't care for you
No matter the elections we're pretty much screwed

Satuday Night Fever -- Ridin' With The Cars Edition

The Cars ~ Moving In Stereo / All Mixed Up
Live UK Telly Vision ~ January 1979

written by The Cars

Moving In Stereo
Life's the same I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same you're shaking like tremolo
Life's the same it's all inside you
It's so easy to blow up your problems
It's so easy to play up your breakdown
It's so easy to fly through a window
It's so easy to fool with the sound
It's so tough to get up
It's so tough
It's so tough to live up
It's so tough on you

All Mixed Up
She shadows me in the mirror
And never leaves on the light
Some things that I say to her
They just don't seem to bite
It's all mixed up
She tricks me into thinking
I can't believe my eyes
I wait for her forever
She never does arrive
It's all mixed up
She says to leave it to me
And everything will be alright
She says to leave it to me

My Saturday Mantra -- Farewell Evel Edition

I always wanted to be
Like Evel Knievel
Jumping cars and buses
Before there was cable TV

Flashing across the sky
Landing perfect
Crowds cheering wildly
Women throw me their underwear

What a great life or
So it seemed to me
Since I break lots of bones
And fall down regularly

Might as well get some
Glory from my pain
Just like Evel
In his cool jumpsuit

I always wanted to be
Like Evel Knievel
Jumping cars and buses
Before there was cable TV

I loved the tension
Before Evel made his jumps
Would he crash and crumple
Arms and legs all akimbo

No DVR to rewind
You could only watch it live
On something people back then
Used to call ABC

But I digress as I often do
For what I want to say
To Evel Knievel the great daredevil
Thank you for sharing your dream
