The Paradox of the Prankster

Prankster converses with Tiane -- March 2006

Back in the late Winter in 2006 I met someone named Tiane D at the Dog House in Atlanta. Tiane has her own blog but it has been cleared out of all posts last time I checked. She was very special I thought, she reminded me way too much of my cousins at times and that haunted me for some reason. So I figured I would converse with Tiane to gain insight and below are some of the things we discussed in the public comments section of her blog. It gets better as it goes and Biggie T pops up too. I don't know why but this makes me laugh a lot!

Tiane, if you are out there I do hope you are having a fine time.

I like the way you think about stuff, Tiane.

And Bick don't really think those hieroglyphics are like ancient or something now does he? You cleared up that little matter I trust? I gotta say I hate when that happens but what you gonna do?

Best wishes,
Prank

Well thank you for the comment and the visit PrairePrankster! Well Bick is a child but I do homeschool him so he won't get the influence of those 'bad' kids, altho I did teach him to watch out for those evil hieroglyphics, I think we DO need to review. I do want people to realize how smart my kids really are.

Tiane D,

Me O My O!

Why you sure do lead a very full life and I thank you for taking some of your very precious time to share you insight with us all.

We are all blessed. Verily.

Oh Prankster!

Thank you, I do appreciate your visit so. I know! My friends ask me how I can stay such a little busy body. I think it just sends them into shock at times that I can keep up my strength. They aren't jealous tho. Such dears. Of course I must share with y'all. I can't think of only me, and take away a blessing? I would be ashamed. Bless your heart!

Well, Tiane, if you ask me, thinking is over rated. So many think but never do because all they do is think. You seem to know to do, therefore you do not need thought. It is a cosmic link to God thing I do believe. It is as if you were touched, so to speak. By God.

And when God touches One then One must speak the Truth. As you speak yours.

At least that's the way I see it.

It's as if a Grand Fountain of God's Grace poured forth the Wisdom of the Ages as you lead us through Life.

Bless you and your Fine Family,
Prank

I am so pleased you dropped by Prank!

I try to give guidance where I can. It's the least I can do. Some just talk and talk don't they? You know you aren't the first person to say that thinking is over rated at least where it applies to me. Thank you for the confirmation that I am 'touched by God'. Several other dear people say they can see it and have told me that also, but so many resist me for some reason! Bless your heart dear and keep up your good work too!

Why thank you kindly for very nice words, Tiane. I feel blessed and touched that you would respond to my comment.

For my Family has many fine Women who remind me much of you. Gracious and upstanding members of the community like you are. Giving your thoughts and wisdom freely, a gift it is, to all who can benefit from your advice and counsel.

I sense you are the type of person who shares your gift not just with Family but are willing to share it with all who are fortunate to be anywhere close by. So it does my Heart good to know that I can visit your blog and receive the wisdom similar to that of those Fine Women in my Family who now live thousands and thousands of miles away from me. A blessing it is to know that no matter how far away I go, no matter how many other issues I focus on, you bring their voices back into my Head as clear as a Bell. A blessing it is. Assuredly.

May you have Lovely Day,
Prank

Oh Prank!

I am so glad to know that you also have fine examples of good women in your family! It IS too bad that you are so many many miles apart. As is MY family! You know, that doesn't deter me one bit tho, I call as often as I can. I know they so enjoy my calls. Everyone says they would LOVE to talk more but they are just so busy and they often miss my calls. Something about their answer machine thingy not working. I was so happy to be able to bless you. No matter where you go, the voices of reason are there. What a comforting thought! See you in church tomorrow! I will be so busy there!

Sister, I am glad to hear you had a nice outing at the flea market. You can be realy frugal...I know that is an ugly word...but we do what can...and find almost full bottles of Skin So Soft and other Avon products at smart savings. At the one over in the next county, a man sells pork rinds right off the pig. Don't reach in the boiler, though and try to get a free sample. We spent most of the night a few saturdays back at Grady Hospital. Marc can be a handful.

Why that Hobo tale sure takes me back, Tiane.

Hmmm, seems like I heard this before, a vision, yes...deja vu. My, must be the vapors or change in air pressure we have in these Rocky Mountain, Tiane.

My loving Parents often left me at Hobo camps when I was a child. It was fun, a challenge to my young mind it was, to find my way back Home after a few days time. Once it took me 10 days.

I knew my Daddy was giving his eldest Son the benefit of his Wisdom, as you do so unselfishlessly, so that I could find my way in this Wonderful Creation we call Earth. To have the confidence, as a Man must have, that I could cook stew in a tin can and never found the lack of plumbing or dental hygeine to be any sort of a problem.

And Bick and his Swords, Me O My O, that sure brings me a smile.

Why my Daddy let me and my school friends play with our Swords at our Home. We could and did play with our Swords often. So proud we were as we would march around the House showing our mighty Swords to any and all who had the gift of Sight.

When my Mama asked us to stop with the Swords and such, my Daddy told us to go play with our knives. They thought that Darwin did have one good idea, you got to prune the herd every now and then or the herd gets weak. Don't get me wrong, they be not them "evolutionist types" or anything like that, Tiane. But when good sense makes good sense, then God will allow us to see that and recognize it even if those who say those types of truth shall burn in deepest Hell.

Well, shoot, I am getting a bit wound up here but it's always a pleasure to read your Divine "touched" thoughts and know the voices that God sent me away from clear over to the other of Continent can now be found here. A touch of Grace and Good Good Sense. Indeed.

Bless you and your Fine Family,
Prank

Biggie T!

So glad to hear from y'all. Why thank you for the compliment, I really do try to be frugal. I do stay close to home so had not seen the flea market before. Boy was that a surprise! Those 'unclean' women about did me in! I totally missed the almost full bottles of Skin So Soft. I could have used some too! I have to wear turtlenecks when I go out, so people don't see my turkey neck! They do compliment me on how young I look tho. Thanks for the tip on the pork rinds! I would have done the very thing Marc did. That poor dear, hey we will do almost anything for a bargain won't we?

When we had lots of money I got that EXPENSIVE nativity set from Avon. I sure hope I never break a piece as I could not afford to replace one now!

Hello Prank!

You are so special. You get wound up all you want. I do so enjoy those loving family stories you shared. I hope you gave the Lord thanks that He sent me with Divine thoughts to share with you. Even though you are so far from family, it's like they are right HERE with you! Isn't that just wonderful the way that works! Sounds like Daddy knew what he was doing, surely even tho those who say those types of truth shall burn in deepest Hell, I agree! When it makes sense, out it must go!

A Gracious Good Evening To You, Tiane!

I was chuckling today after your sweet reminisce about Barren and her phone.

Why I was speaking with my Mama on the cell phone earlier after the Morning Meditations with God. It was here birthday this week and I was sure to get her a lovely gift and card like any good Son would do. And like what befell your Lovely Barren with you, my cell phone battery went dead and cut Mama off in mid-sentence too.

As I am sure you know, those phone battery companies say the phone batteries can recharge in a hour or two. May the Good Lord strike me down if I do not speak the truth, Tiane, but my phone sometimes takes days to charge. It usually takes a few days of charging that cell phone enough to handle a long distance call from my Mama. Seems like the more she talks the faster my battery loses all that electricty and the dang phone goes out. Sorry for the rough language, Tiane, I just get so upset when that happens as I am sure you can imagine. So I clearly visualize the sorrow your Barren feels when she loses the Sweet Melodic Voice of Wisdom from her Mama as her phone cuts out. For these Precious Gifts you share have few equals, and being her Mama you, of course, should guide her and move her in the right direction. The path you know to be correct. Despite her protests, she knows you are right.

For you offer a path that learns true wisdom from a song, not from all that thinking or studying. No Ma'am, for you understand that your insight comes from a place that is greater than thought, greater than logic, why it's like the Voice of Angels speaking the Truth to all whose Hearts are open. I can tell that you help so many that they have little need to ever cross your path again once they have experienced the Blessing. I would suppose that they may cross to the other side of the street if they see you coming so that you can Bless others who have not yet benefited from your kind words and deeds. That I believe is your mission, Tiane, and you do not have to think about it, you just do it.

Why my how the time flies. Are you sure you did not adopt Barren too? You seem like such a young and vibrant woman to be a Grandmother, you must have good genes I suppose but your picture is quite remarkable, younger than yesterday.

May Bim be feeling strong and fit as he toils mightily for his Fine Family,

Prank 3/20/06

You are such a dear Prankster!

I almost didn't get back here, I have been so busy helping others! It truly is good to hear that you talk to your mama whenever you are able! I don't think I've met such a thoughtful young man with the exception of our Bon. He is definately a mama's boy! I am so relieved that you clued me in on the batteries for the phones. I was beginning to think that my family was actuaully avoiding me! I'm so silly that way sometimes. I hope you were able to get back to your mama. I don't talk to my mother, I just cannot listen to her put my Bim down. I am such a positive person, I sure didn't get it from HER!

I will forgive your rough language dear Prankster since we have SO very much in common. I know you just are so blessed to have family like me and although they are far away, that I can always be nearby to remind you. Well. Barren never listened to me but I think she is beginning to understand, as now she is beginning to say YES mother, YES mother! when I advise her. I am very generous with wisdom for my children and I think they are beginning to appreciate that. You are so right again, I don't even have to think, wisdom just springs forth from my heart. Yes I believe it is my call and I am faithful in it. I rarely misss a day that I can share SOME insight. People tell me ALL the time how young I do look every time I ask so it has been confirmed that I DO look young for my years. Thank you for noticing.

Tiane D., you sure do tell it like it is.

Why I did talk to God a lot since I first beheld your stirring revelatory words and insights a few weeks back. I thank you for asking me if I had talked to God and thanked Him after "meeting" you on this here Internet in one of your previous kindly replies.

I shared with God the Grand Wonder and Awe in my Heart that after being away from "Home" for so long, how on this Green Earth did a "Lost Voice of Mercy and Grace" call out to me over this Internet? I sat and talked with God for many, many hours on this, Tiane. I asked God how can those voices long deeply buried and who were long thought "walking in Paradise" somehow resurrect and come for your seemingly touched and otherworldly mind? Why God, did you even bring me to this Wondrous Divine Touched Voice, this Voice of Insight, this Voice that does merely because she can do? Doing what you were born to do, Tiane, to do and never think for one moment. Why thought would get in the way of all that you so graciously share and that would never do. Nope.

You know I had a 3rd cousin named Scabie too. Just like that Sweet Baby you are taking care of in your special way. That child is truly Blessed every second being in your Saintly Glow, Tiane. As is your Bick.

Anyway, my Cousin Scabie used to come over and my Mama would sit with her at the House. Scabie's Ma, my Dear Auntie Kat, well, she was a working girl. She did not have much time for her Scabie it seems. Oh that Kat would come by when she could and play with her Scabie some. Katty had her struggles as many do and sometimes the best we can do is pray for them or hope someone like you can enter their life and make a difference as I am sure you do to anyone you come in contact with, Tiane.

So now my Friends and I would be marching around the House showing off and playing with our Swords as we liked to do. And our Cute Little Cousin offered to play with our Mighty Swords. Well, we showed her how to handle our Swords, to maintain the proper grip and such so no one gets hurt. So that our Sweet Cousin could be a Master of the Sword, even though she had no Sword of her own. Sometimes that Silly Scabie calls me from North Carolina and talks about my Sword, over the phone, Tiane, and it seems that my darn cell battery just about explodes.

Maybe Blott or Barren can find some of those newer cell phone batteries at that Best Buy and you can direct your Family to get the right battery for the job. I hear they came out with some new ones that are a little better. It just pains me so very deeply to think that your Family may miss your keen insight and guidance just when they might need it the most.

Well, I must be getting on now but I savor the moments, Tiane.

God Bless You and Your Fine Family,
Prank

Prankster,

I can see that sharing myself has brought you so much joy, Isn't that neat! I bet you were just thinking, God.... that was so good of you to bring back a voice from my past to remind me of my wonderful memories!

It is true, I just do what I was meant to. But I am not a Calvinist! I get so mad at THOSE people. They will argue with me to no end! I cannot enjoy them throwing scripture at me. I try to compliment them and they just ignore that I am so helpless and petite! I have tried tears, tantrums and insults all to no avail. My blog is my safe haven tho. Did you know it is considered rude to dispute a blog? I learned that early and can say anything I want without them rebuking me! LOLOL

I am so relieved that someone thinks I am a good sitter. I do get concerned that they may think I'm an old meanie. I do love children as you can see. Besides it's a good reason NOT to go get a real job. I have worked outside the home but how can I teach those ladies to be submissive and do what they are told if I am working! I really think Bim would hate it if I had to get a job. I am not asking tho. Well my Blot and Barren both said they are all out of batteries so I will have to be patient. It could be weeks before they get any more!

 The Woogie Speaks His Mind

My buddy Prankster is still all blissed out from that reggae show he saw on Wednesday. He left the computers on all night so I thought I would take a turn. After all, I am the Lion of the Prankster's Palace, the Mighty Woogie Cat, Feline Lord of the Mountain and Prairie. Prank has been honoring my request for privacy but he likes you guys and I thought I'd help out my kind, imperfect human friend.

Now many of you might be thinking, who is this "Lion", this "Lord of the Prairie", silly humans. I have conquered and survived 3 other cats and 2 dogs who lived at the Palace. No, I did not kill them off although I thought about it. But I knew that to endure one must have patience and cunning. One must know which levers to bat and which to leave be.

Both dogs started working for me from the day they first entered the Palace grounds. Sniveling, submissive, silly dogs, they were too easy. Even though both grew up fast they remembered the pain and fury when they upset The Woogie. And the blood, yes, that's what they remembered most as I bloodied both of their noses until they learned their lessons. Oh me o my o, they barked loud and eventually weighed close to 90lbs but their brains are small and they are easily controlled. Soon I had my protection, those hapless big dogs kept the fox and raccoons out of the yard for me. They chased the squirrels who would interrupt my outdoor naps. They kept order just the way I liked it. When their dog food was out I got to sniff it first and sometimes I would have a bite or two just to mess with their heads, as they sat waiting and drooling behind me. I kinda liked having dogs, shoot, I even slept in their doghouse on cold days and made them stay outside.

The other cats were a different story. The one who was here before me, BooBoo, well, he was a tough SOB. At first, BooBoo was not real hip to my presence in the Palace. But there was plenty of room in the Palace for us both and we roamed the grounds, even playing together. I knew I had to bide my time with BooBoo because unlike those dogs BooBoo was smart. He was a cat and he knew well the advantage we have over all of you. So we developed an alliance of sorts, we watched each other's back until one night BooBoo went out and never came home. I had stayed in that night, it was cold and BooBoo usually didn't like going out in those conditions but he did. Prankster looked high and low for ol' BooBoo but to no avail.

Then came the 2 sisters from Hell. One of Prank's human friends asked if we could "babysit" some kittens. The people were moving and promised Prank that they would return to pick up their dear kittens in a few months. Now my human Prankster is a bit of a soft touch on these issues.
Of course, they never came back for the cats. I knew immediately that I would not like these 2 young things. They were screwing up the Palace energy and the now one remaining dog was becoming confused as to who she reports to. I had to re-do all that work I had done years ago in her training. All the while these little kitty girls are making like they own the Palace. This can not and would not stand. For while they are part of the most intelligent class of animals on this Earth, they were messing with me and they would soon learn who was the Mighty Lion and who are the pretenders. I am happy to report that Prankster took the 2 girls to a small ranch up North where they are receiving the care that we all deserve.

I know my friend Prankster is a little lonely sometimes in the Palace. Another dog is likely, why he likes these big, hairy, drooling dimwits is beyond me but then I tolerate humans. So who am I to talk?...

 I Could Do Without August -- 1st Posted on September 17, 2005

I could do without August

Last month I lost a dear friend, my dog Chile. She died the day after her 10th birthday from kidney failure. My girl and I spent a nice last day. She went for a ride in the car with me, one of her favorite things, and for a brief moment we were back in the days when she was a puppy. I got to spend a lot of time that day with Chile, I got to tell her how much I love her and she told me in her own way that she loves me. I was there when she died on my porch, I was glad to be there in her last moments. The tears were flowing my Friends.

To make matters worse, it took the Humane Society a month to cremate her body and get the ashes back to me. I did not realize how much it bothered me, I wanted closure to be sure. But I was so worried that they lost my girl. I finally was able to retrieve her ashes and she joined her younger brother Calvin who died in August 2 years ago. I sprinkled her ashes into the river near our house with her favorite flowers -- roses. Chile always sniffed roses, she seemed to enjoy it. Most other dogs in my life would more likely poo on the bush than sniff the roses :-D but not my Chile girl. So I clipped some roses and we went to her favorite swimming hole and I watched on the bank as her ashes floated downstream with her roses from her yard. Peace at last...

My Weekend Mantra -- 50 Weeks In The Stream Edition

Watching the hurricane
Just one year ago
Sitting on the Gulf Coast
Down in St. Petersburg
Feeling shocked and blue

Another door closed
It now was time to go
But I had to let it out
To find my voice was
Something I had to do

Started up this blog
To share my thoughts
Explore new worlds
Maybe have some fun
I really had no clue

And now here it is
One whole year later
Life sure has changed
New paths have opened and
I got on my walking shoes

The new Year ahead
Sure looks good to me
As I make my way through
The maze of my dreams
Towards what I know is true

 My Friday 6 for September 1, 2006

1) How dry is it in Colorado?

Well, here on the High Plains Desert by the time we hit 8/31 we typically have average precipitation totaling ~12 inches for the year. Year to date we have had ~5 inches of rainfall so far. We'll gladly take some of the extra rain our Buddies in Carolina and Virginia are getting right this very second.

2) Airline security often misses the tools of the Terrorist. The items that we think can not be taken on the plane can be as I have learned in my travels this Summer. People are getting through with lighters, shampoo and nail clippers and we all know what that means. Massive drops in the stocks of companies that make and sell new lighters, shampoo and nail clippers.

3) My tattoo is healing up nicely and there are no infection or problems or side effects. I am thinking about a 2nd and 3rd one too but there's no hurry.

4) The Denver Broncos will win the Super Bowl, so why bother with the NFL Season? I have traveled all across America this Summer and the outcome is obvious to any clear thinking person...like me.

5) As a Project Manager I have learned about all sorts of very cool businesses and how they do things. Here is a lesson I learned and would like to share with you.

How Shit Happens

In the beginning was the Plan.

And then came the Assumptions.

And the Assumptions were without form.

And the Plan was without substance.

And darkness was upon the face of the Workers.

And the workers spoke among themselves, saying, "This is a crock of shit, and it stinks."

And the Workers went unto their Supervisors and said, "It is a pail of dung, and we can't live with the smell."

And the Supervisors went unto their Managers, saying, "It is a container of excrement, and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it."

And the Managers went unto their Directors, saying, "It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength."

And the Directors spoke among themselves, saying to one another, "It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very strong."

And the Directors went to the Vice Presidents, saying unto them, "It promotes growth, and it is very powerful.."

And the Vice Presidents went to the President, saying unto him, "This new plan will actively promote the growth and vigor of the company with very powerful effects."

And the President looked upon the Plan and saw that it was good.

And the Plan became Policy.

And that, my friends, is how shit happens.

6) Your Buddy, the Prankster, wishes that where ever you go and what ever you do, that you have a great time this weekend!
