Took a walk this morning As the Sun rose above the Sea Sea birds diving and playing Life is singing harmony
Thought about those times Where I felt uncertainty So I took a look around and Embraced the changes inside of me
Walked by the pier where we met Smiles burst spontaneously And I saw my Girl last night I'm as lucky as a Man can be
As I make my new Home and Find employment gainfully My excitement builds as I Look towards the future happily

Little flakies flyin' Smaller than seen by eye Swirling hints of Winter October snow a-coming I can feel it in my knee
So the first frozen shower Before the next Sunrise Brings scarce water The happiest people will Surely be my Trees
Highway ice rink deadlocks Happens too with Those first snowfalls as Everyone remembers what Happens when streets freeze
One of the joys a Mile High Weather often changes in A blink of your eye And to think that Sunny Yesterday it was 78 degrees

You know I got me this hero Someone very strong Who does what it takes And pays whatever price To do what needs to be done
I never hear whining About how unfair Life is Just the resolve and faith A joy in the hero's heart To do what needs to be done
Now I greet each Sunrise With my hero anchored firm In every beat of my heart As each day I make my way To do what needs to be done
For there is no burden Heavier than having no Love I will give it all that I got Helping my hard working hero To do what needs to be done

I took over 150 pictures on a drive I took along the Peak to Peak Highway aka Peak to Peak Scenic Byway from Estes Park, CO to Nederland, CO on Friday, 29 September 2006. And since this is a Friday Six, I had some pretty nice shots still left from the ride. And since many of you have not seen this part of the World I thought another Six shots might be in order.
All pictures except for the map were taken today by me on my mid-day drive in the nearby Rocky Mountains.
The Peak to Peak Highway starts at Estes Park, CO.
The Lake Estes boat ramp area was pretty quiet this breezy morning.
Sitting on a ledge just East of Estes Park, CO off of Route 36.
The Twin Peaks -- Mount Meeker at 13,911ft elevation and Long's Peak at 14,255ft as seen from the near Allenspark, CO.
Rock wall next to Highway as I sat in the car for some minor roadwork to be completed to allow passage. This may be why these mountains are called the Rockies...I kept looking at that wall and thought it was pretty cool.
Highway 119 runs next to Boulder Creek on the ride down Mountain from Nederland, CO.

The route begins and ends in Longmont at 4,722ft elevation. I started west northwest to Estes Park (7,552ft) and then caught the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway south to Nederland (8,236ft) and then rolled east down the mountain to Boulder (5,440ft) before back to the Prankster's Palace. See map below:

I hope you have a great weekend!

In every Village And each Town Hard to miss them Self righteous clowns
Smugly self serving Parading sanctimonious Self congratulatory Twits are the phoniest
Best to ignore them I'm done with their slime They turn my stomach And ain't worth my time
