My Weekend Mantra Part 2 -- Rental Car Blues Edition

As I travel about
Both near and far
I enjoy it when I drive
Many different cars

All the domestics and
Then some Foreign
Until one day I got
This squeaky ass Ford

Now I'm happy drivin'
Mustangs and Explorers
Even F-150's which
I truly adore

Never had any reason
To moan or complain
Until they gave me
This squeaky ass Ford

So please let me add
My voice to the chorus
Soon I'll say "Good riddance!"
To this freakin' Taurus

I know I'll never accept another
You see I'd rather ride
A skateboard than drive
This squeaky ass Ford

My Weekend Mantra Part 1 -- Splish Splash Edition

My Sweet Friend has a house
Her siding needed a wash
Nothing really major
It wasn't harsh

She rented this contraption
We aimed it straight and true
Just a good cleaning
Was all we meant to do

The dirt and funk dissolved
As the powerwasher did flow
The soap was almost gone
And then don't you know

The nozzle tip sprung a leak
Water's flying everywhere
At least we got off all the soap
And I got to wash my hair

How can it be

It sure seems to me
Our system is busted

Power for power's sake
Is the common denominator
I can now understand why some
Would vote for a Terminator

Some say Politicians practice
The art of governance
But it appears to me that
We got a collection of dunces

Sun sparkles today
As waves break relentlessly
Against the shore line

Breeze blows cooling all
Who venture close to the Sea
On this fine morning

Smiling strangers wish
Me a fine day as I ride
Along the boardwalk

Contemplating life
As I continue my quest
To find my new home

My Friday Six -- A Bike Ride On The Boardwalk Edition

I had a job interview rescheduled to Thursday afternoon and I had some unexpected free time this morning. So I went back up to the Boardwalk and rode a bike and took some pictures. It was a warm sunny day so it seemed like a no brainer. I am starting to enjoy this camera. The interview went pretty well too...

This statue of Poseidon was modeled after a picture taken of me when I used to have a beard. I demanded no royalties...

Was it Jimi Hendrix who said "Castles made of sand flow into the Sea eventually"? There was a Sand Castle thing going on last week and this one was still looking pretty good. These Sand Castles remind me of the Ice Sculpture events in Breckenridge,CO in February. Some amazingly detailed work.
