The Paradox of the Prankster

The Joys Of Selling A House

I put the Prankster's Prairie Palace up for sale a few months ago and it still has not sold. The housing market is a little slow in Colorado as it is all over the U.S.A. but I am very hopeful that the Palace will sell soon. To help with that sales effort I am working with my realtor to market the Palace more effectively using the web. I figured I would do a practice run here on blogstream, put a few of my ideas up here and get your feedback.

The Prankster's Prairie Palace is a private place.

The backyard facing East seems to go on forever and doesn't need much maintenance.

I have documentation supporting my contention that all potential pests have been removed from the building and grounds.

A treat for the Handyman or woman looking for a fixer upper!

A place for everything and everything in it's place.

A bunch of nice folks live down the street.

The detached garage on the north side could use a little work.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your Dream Home awaits.

My Weekend Mantra -- Good To See An Old Buddy Back Edition

He was on his next mission
Shedding all that he can
Even if it means that
He's gotta run from the Man

Must be travelin' light
And good on his word
If he's gonna prance around
With drawers full of turds

From the North of England
That blubberous mass in the yard
Let's welcome back
The Fat Northern Bastard

My Thursday Mantra -- Hikin' Along The Prairie Edition

Longs Peak viewed from about 2 miles west of the Prankster's Prairie Palace on 15 November 2006.

Not one cloud out there
As I walk this afternoon
On the high prairie

Sunlight surrounds me
Energizing my body
Lighting up my mind

Got a ways to go
On this great journey towards
What my life shall be

Thankful for this year
My travels and friends unleash
Smiles from my soul

My Tuesday Seven -- A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That Edition

I have been going back and processing some of the photos I have taken over the past few months. I got a few hundred shots and it takes awhile to go through all of them. Below are seven photos from the various places I have been in Colorado and Virginia this year, I hope you like them.

September in the Rockies.

The view from the front porch of The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado.

The swamp north of Virginia Beach, Virginia in mid-October.

The Bode Island Lighthouse in North Carloina this past September.

Sand dunes on the way to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina in September.

Today the gusty November breezes blow the Tumbleweeds onto the Plains in Colorado.

Have a great day!

My Weekend Mantra -- Just Got Off The Phone With My Uncle Edition

Alone far too long
Old Loon's lost his mind this time
He said it was Love

His sight's not so good
Loon does the best he can do
With the Friends he's got

But we knew better
This has happened before and
Loon's got all his shots

One day Loon might just
Regain his senses but then
Again he may not
