Everyday I am grateful
For the Angels in my life
Visiting me quite often
Sometimes all they do is play

But mostly they reveal
Some truths I need to see
A message to my Heart
Helps me make it through the day

They show up in funny places
Most really don't have wings
But I know them when I see them
I wish they would never go away

They always treat me kindly
Their auras glowing sweet
Bringing me great peace
Even though they can not stay

I consider "Cactus" to be a love song of sorts, and I really dig how David Bowie performs this tune with a smoking band.

Iggy & The Stooges at the Montreaux Jazz Festival...yes, I did a double take too the very first time I tried to get my brain around that one. Here's where Iggy invited the very polite Swiss audience to come dance on stage with him and his fellow Stooges about one minute and forty-five seconds into the song "Real Cool Time" and the crowd happily obliges. Then the band kicks into the monster classic "No Fun" with the "Swiss Dancers" helping the Ig on vocals. Nothing beats a rock and roll dance party, eh?

My Friday Mantra -- Happy Days Edition

I took this picture of the "Twin Sisters" just South of Estes Park, CO on 9/29/2006.

Some days I think
I'm losing my sanity
But I find that this condition
Is just temporary

My mind it wanders far
As I walk across the canyon
Soaring high above those
Scrawny looking trees

Drinking in the fresh air
Clears out those dusty
Brain cells inside my head
So very expeditiously

I sure hope that soon
We share some time together
Maybe you walk this path
Right beside me

A joy to sing and laugh
As we climb the Mountains
I know all the shortcuts so
Please step carefully

I'd hate to see you
Bump your lovely noggin but
My kisses can be very healing
When applied judiciously

Yet I'd rather we find
A little spot where we
Could spend precious moments
Together so deliciously
