The Paradox of the Prankster

 A Little Morning Music...

Music Codes by SongArea.com

Backwater
And when I wake up in the morning
To feel the daybreak on my face
There's a blood that's flowin'
Through the feeling, with a knife
To open up the sky's veins

Some things will never change
They stand there looking backwards
Half unconscious from the pain

They may seem rearranged
In the backwater swirling, there is
Something that will never change

And when I shoulda been gone a long time
Laughs and says, I find ways
Just when we're sheltered under paper
The rockets come at us sideways

Some things will never change
They stand there looking backwards
Half unconscious from the pain

They may seem rearranged
In the backwater swirling, there is
Something that'll never change

Hey, I'm blind
Good, fine
Roll the time
On whose dime

And when I wake up in the morning
To feel the daybreak on my face
There's a blood that's flowin'
Through the ceiling, with a knife
To open up the sky's veins

Some things will never change
They stand there looking backwards
Half unconscious from the pain

They may seem rearranged
In the backwater swirling, there is
Something that'll never change

Some things will never change
They stand there looking backwards
Half unconscious from the pain

They may seem rearranged
In the backwater swirling, there is
Something that'll never change

Coming Down The St. Vrain Canyon.

Well, once I got up to Estes Park I had to come back down to the Prankster's High Prairie base camp at 5,050 feet elevation. There are few better rides than on the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway and then looping down the St. Vrain Canyon. The Mighty St. Vrain River water was in some of the very fine Beer I drank yesterday brewed by my very good Buddies at the Left Hand Brewing Company.

I love driving through the canyon.

Looking back North to Estes Valley.

Heading towards Lily Ridge Trail.

The Trailhead at Lily Ridge next to Lily Lake.

The trail winds for many miles.

The Twin Sisters from Lily Lake.

Saint Malo's Church framed by "Prank's Peak" aka Long's Peak.

The Mighty St. Vrain River rolling down the Canyon.

I just dig checking out the rocks and climb a few from time to time.

The Notch.

In Meeker Park they don't need no stinkin' 411.

Everyone should have a guy like this in their yard, don't you think?

Happy Trails to you!

Another Great Day For A Ride Up To Estes Park!

A lovely late Winter day here a Mile High and this Prankster had the itch to take a ride up to Lake Estes for some fresh air and Sunshine after my St. Pat's Day pub crawl yesterday. I remembered to bring my camera and got a few shots that I thought you might like.

Always great to be back in Estes Park, Colorado.

This view was so good I just had to stop the car and get out.

And then I got to the Lake.

A light breeze today and the kids were out with their kites.

It seemed like there was a great shot everywhere I looked.

If you like to fish then you know what this bench is for...

Maybe you can visit someday and enjoy this place with me!

My St. Patrick's Day Mantra Redux

Leprechauns dancing
Spindly legs fly akimbo
As the jig begins

Clovers in the snow
Bring the first hint of Springtime
'Cross the Mountainside

Red cheeks are flashing
As we slide across the pond
Paddy wagon's full

You Go Visit Lobata Now

My Tuesday Mantra -- A Very Thankful Edition

The dawn's light kisses gently
Finds me rejoicing every morning
Jubilantly waking ready for the day
Giving thanks for all the Love
Sent to me in the sweet breezes
Often from places I have never been
Graciously given by Hearts
Some that I have yet to meet
Looking forward to the day
When we can dance together
Sharing laughter, songs and stories
As we walk along the path in harmony
I'm the guy out there whistling
Hiking through the Valleys
And then climbing up those Peaks
Wondering if he can touch the Sun
Thinking of the many dear Souls
Who mean so much to me as I stand
Here on the top of the World
I thank you for the kindness
Thank you for the energy
It gives me strength I never knew I had
I Love you all, you know
And root for you each and everyday
